Coming back home and passing the Medical Centre, I realized that it was the last night for the free flu shot clinic here. So, I decided we should stop in. Now, there was some concern re Jesse having the shot as he has now tested 2 score for eggs. I explained to the doctor that he had had the shot last year and that he has had no reaction to eggs
whatsoever and he felt comfortable giving him the shot knowing that we live right next door and that I will be very aware to look for a reaction.
At any rate, the kids were offered lollipops if they behaved (or in my case, simply to get rid of them!) when they got their shot. Before the nurse even went to give my son the lolly, and he was the one most in need of it because he was enticed by the lolly in order to get the shot, otherwise he was freaking, she checked the label! Kudos! I was really extremely pleased and as it turned out they were "safe". Not clear what brand or I'd be posting that somewhere else too.
I'm sure that it wasn't a concern of theirs when they first purchased the lollies, but, as it turns out, they were "safe" anyway and I feel good about the nurse checking the label for me.
You know what? I've never been in this topic heading before! Can you believe it? I wasn't quite clear where to post, but this was doctor-like information, so...
Now, I feel as though I should be checking the rest of the heading out, but I can't right now. Best wishes!
