Factors associated with outgrowing PA?

Hello everyone,

I read in The Peanut Allergy Answer Book by Michael C. Young that those individuals who manage to avoid exposure to peanuts are more likely to outgrow their allergy. Has anyone heard the same? What other factors are associated with outgrowing PA?

Thanks!

I have *heard* that lessening on RAST #s, younger age and not having asthma all may contribute. And I think not as many other food allergies.

All that was said.

(roll the dice, mostly, IMO)

My parents were told the same thing about me. I am now 32 years old, and my reactions have intensified in the last ten years. I went about 5-6 years without a nut reaction when I did have one and it was the worst one in my life. I have also gotten more sensitive to soy as I grew older.
