When going to a pool, I'm comfortable with leaving the epi at the chairs. If going around a huge water park, I'd want to carry the epis with me. I'm not comfortable being far away from them. For instance, on the Lazy River ride at the amusement park, I wore one of those waterproof bags already mentioned and kept the epis in them. The Lazy River Ride is about 15 minutes long. For my comfort zone, I didn't want to be that far from the epis.
This was a big concern of mine also. When at a local pool, we keep it in the outside pouch of a cooler bag in the shade. But, for a waterpark it's a problem if you want to keep it nearby. I bought a waterproof pouch for around my neck. It holds 2 epis, benadryl tablets, my license, insurance card and credit card. If I go on a slide or something more adventurous (not often) I tuck it inside my suit. On a lazy river I may just put a tee shirt over it. We just returned from our 3rd cruise and this has been a blessing. I wore it cave tubing, snorkeling, etc. (anywhere that I'm concern about getting to it quickly).
They say it should not be refridgerated and I have read somwhere not to put them in a cooler or with an ice pack. Just want to pass this info along in case you didn't realize.
