pI recently received an e-mail advising that Minn. has now passed legislation that all ambulances will carry epinephrine and will be able to administer it. I always just assumed it was available. Apparently not all states or provinces available have it in ambulances./p
pI have e-mailed EMS in my province to check if it is available in all ambulances or only some./p
pJust thought everyone should check their own areas. It may be necessary to find out if you need to request a specific type of ambulance if you have to call 911. I am waiting for reply from Ontario and will post when I receive it./p

Got e-mail from Toronto EMS. All paramedics qualified to give it and all ambulances carry it. They didn't specify province, only this city.
FAAN has a list of which states require EMTs to carry-but I don't know if they have info. on Canada. Our state just passed the law this session, but our local EMTs were already carrying.
I was a small part of the team who lobbied for epinepherine on ambulances in Minnesota. I find it to be a great relief to have one more safety net in place. I think everyone should do what they can to make it happen in their state as well. Lisa
