Thank you, Nicole! If you don't know anybody with a sewing machine you could probably take it to one of those places that does alterations on clothes. It was very easy to do, I don't think they would charge you much.

I currently use a Tupperware insulated baby bottle carrier for my epi's that I keep in my purse (3 epis and a nalgene 3oz bottle of benadryl). I need the insulation in Tucson. Mind you, it's not 'wearable' which is what you are asking about...but
I wanted to add that I like that pink one with the medical symbol on the outside. It got me think that ANY epipen carrier SHOULD HAVE that red asterisk/twisted snakes logo on it. Very clear indeed.
I'll be getting a patch and sewing it onto my epi carrier.
Thanks for posting that pic, I never would have thought of it on my own.

I can't take credit for that--it was Corvallis Mom's idea. She posted a link to an EMT supply place that sells patches and pins. The one on DD's epibelt is one of their collar pins.

whoever's idea it was, it rocks!
The same reasoning goes for me on the view of 'medic alert' type bracelets and dogtags...they should have the clear red asterisk/snake symbol. The average person on the street recognizes that symbol, whereas they may not take notice of it if it's blue or pink or purple (like I've seen)...just looks like any other charm that way.
I googled a bit and found some patches, but I'll check out the EMT supply place too.
Thanks for the idea!

Well, I can't really take credit either... though I did find the EMT supply catalog.
We were constantly hearing "how cute" my DD's "little purse" was.... and DH and I realized that if it looks like a "purse" it is less likely that anyone will realize what is inside it in an emergency situation... and we also figure that if it is clearly medical in nature, it is probably somewhat less likely to get snatched, as well.
DH is the one who finally said-- it HAS to look like what it is. At which point, 6 yo DD threw a hissy fit (fashionista that she is) that she would NOT tolerate anything ugly or uncomfortable... However, she was more than happy not to have little old ladies complimenting her on her "cute purse" anymore. So DH told me to buy a medicalert patch or something, but they don't sell them. Viola. EMT supply to the rescue. LOVE the pencil case idea, though. That is a good one. I'll have to remember that if DD ever decides she wants to wear hers around her waist. Currently she wears them messenger-bag style.
