I spoke with George Weston Bakeries yesterday in reference to the Entenmann's products and they told me that some of their facilities use nuts and they take every precaution to make sure the lines are cleaned etc etc blah blah blah....
I do not feel comfortable with their products, have not purchased them in the past and will not start to...just another comfort level issue and this company is not within my comfort level.
I called them to get the true story on their products since many people say they are safe. Glad I found out for myself that they use nuts in their facilities.
No Nuts For Me and No Entenmann's for me!
wait a minute...are we distinguishing between peanuts and tree nuts here in regards to entemann's?
are they peanut free except for that line of cookies someone mentioned (which i understood that they label for cross contamination on anything run on the same line)? am I misunderstanding here?
thanks,

I eat Entenmanns products since I am only allergic to peanuts. I am not allergic to tree nuts, so I am comfortable eating their products
Whe I asked about their labeling, the rep I spoke with said they do not label "may contain", or "made in a facility that also processes nuts"...
Please call to double check and post here what they tell you...we need to keep in front of these companies so they get with our program...lets continue to create awareness!
SF, I posted this in a new thread the other day, but just saw your post here. In all of my local supermarkets, the Entenmanns products all have new labeling, and almost every item has either a "may contain" or a "processed on shared equipment" label. From what I've seen so far, all of it pertained to tree nuts, and each label specified the exact nut involved (cashew, walnut, etc.) The only items without any warnings were the donuts, donut popems, and the "liitle bites" pouches. Literally every types of cake, cupcake and cookie was labelled. Someone upthread said that they heard that starting in July the donuts were going to be made in a nut free facility - seems that may have been correct, since they don't have any kind of "may contain" warnings. I definitely plan on calling; although my kids will be disappointed to lose a lot of treats they used to enjoy, it would be great to know that the donuts are safe - I used to count on them to take on class field trips (a lot of times the snack on the trip is a donut.) It's hard to find a safe donut out there when you don't live near a Krispy Kreme!
Any new info. on Entemanns donuts? I did not see any peanut allergy warnings on the donut packages at the store today.
I BELIEVe they do not label for cross in my area at least.
I checked Entenmanns in the grocery store yesterday, and here in Canada they do have cross contamination labelling on the boxes.
the doughnuts could be made in their own facility or line. they probably dont use nuts in their donuts. ill read it when i shop.
Recently entermanns changed their labeling, their soft chocolate chip cookies never had a warning on them now they do. Alot more of their products have warnings on them, except their donuts. No warnings on the donut holes, or regular donuts. My son does eat both.
I live in NJ also but have bought them in PA and NJ too.
