Maybe I'm being naive but I've never called about packaged meat from anywhere.
I would inquire about sausages that are packaged at the grocery store or butcher. Those things may be cross-contaminated. I am curious to hear what others say.

I buy almost everything from Wal-Mart and have no problems. They are excellent for labeling and we have never had any problems. I just made a beef roast with their meat the other night. Why do you question it?

Never thought of it in regards to allergies - but as a rule, NO!!!
I've seen too many in the store that had spots that were green or packages that looked bloated. That's enough for me...

#1Mouser - no need to be rude.
I've been "off meat" for a long time, so I'm just checking.

No need to be presumptuous. I wasn't being rude. I was being lighthearted. It was obvious as evidenced by the poster after me:
"Definitely not before I eat LOL!"
