I'm wondering if it might be beneficial to have a thread running for those of us whose children (or ourselves) did have reactions during the year and if people could be specific as to what, even specific like saying *mystery*.
We all know about reactions here because we post about them here. FAAN doesn't know unless you report them to FAAN. When I e-mailed FAAN re my son's reactions, I didn't even receive a response from them, not clear why.
Anaphylaxis Canada also accepts information re reactions but doesn't necessarily *accept* it the way we do as the PA community because the reactions are being reported by PA parents and not doctors. No doctors are required to report reactions to anyone in Ontario at least.

My DS was reaction free in 2003...
However, I wasn't reaction free- re: August and my horrible skin reaction to a prescribed foot cream- that reaction kept going and going until it got all of me. But, thankfully I was able to get back on safe medications and am gradually building allergy shot doseage up to what it should be since I reacted to it after being on high doses of pedisone for 21+ days.
I am gun-shy of medications but have to be on some for stomack problems.

One minor reaction to McVities Chocolate Covered Digestive Biscuits (Or were they oatmeal cookies? I forget.) Otherwise, knock wood, salt over my shoulder, pooh-pooh-pooh, it was a good year.

Our son's last bad reaction was on December 25.....1992! He was 2 1/2 at the time and grabbed a PB cookie from his uncle's Christmas buffet. We spent 6 hours in the Emergency Room but fortunately have not had a reaction since.

Yes, we did! [img]http://uumor.pair.com/nutalle2/peanutallergy/smile.gif[/img] Since Jesse's last reaction was so late in the year last year, the second week of December month, just didn't want to post until the year was officially over just in case.
He did develop a severe hive reaction to grass during this past summer and he was checked at the hospital for it.
