Dental visits?

I went to the dentist with my PA child and other two children where I noted to check again that the hygenist was aware that he had a peanut allergy and to confirm that there would not be any cross contamination on the instruments... she appeared offended as if I was questioning the "cleanlyness" of the office. I felt she was ignorant to what I was concerned about. We have not had any problems so far with a reaction after being at this or any dentist, I just wanted to discuss how or if any contamination can be possible with the instruments and/or cleaning solutions for my child.

Has anyone had this experience before? Or have had a reaction to a dental visit?

Thanks Sue
