Delurking

Hi,

I have been "lurking" in these message boads since finding out my daughter was PA in May of 06. I appreciate the information, though it is only recently I have been able to visit without feeling on the verge of a nervous breakdown. PA is so scary. At the same time, we realize we're lucky in lots of ways, we are taking things one day at a time, and trying to protect our daughter while still allowing her a "normal" childhood.

We are lucky to have supportive and accomodating family and friends, but I would love a support group in our area. If anyone is near Dayton, Ohio, please contact me.

Thank you for all the information and support I have found here already.

Welcome to the board! I wanted to say Hi as I am in Dayton as well.

My daughter is 3 and allergic to milk, peanuts and sesame.

Have you heard of FEAST? It is a food allergy support group that meets at Children's Medical Center.

I will certainly be checking out that group. I am glad to know there is one out there, they didn't seem to know of one at our allergist's office.

We are actually in Kettering. I would be very interested to hear if you've looked into preschool or done any day care in this area. That is likely on the horizon for us and I'm not sure where to begin. I think you can get to my e-mail address from here, feel free to send a message anytime. Just put Peanut or allergy in the subject so I know it isn't junk! Thanks for the reply.

Hi! I'd like to email you but your address isn't available in your profile.

It should be there now, if not, it's: kelseyjane@hotmail.com If you put "Peanut allergy" in the subject line, then I'll know it isn't junk!
