In the past I have order and my son has eaten our local CostCo's birthday cakes. I spoke to the bakery manager a few years back and she assured me that they were very allergy aware and that the birthday cakes were made on a different line with different equipment. She stated that they were very aware of peanut allergies and that cater to a lot of the local schools since they do not use peanuts.

Well, times clearly changed bc late last week I went in to order a cake for my son's recent birthday and low and behold all of the birthday cakes have large nut allergy warnings now.

I have not ordered any desserts from Costco for years now. The reason I stopped was because of the allergy warning labels I was seeing. It is just best not to take any chances.
