Briefly, my DH will be "away" out of our local "home" area for our family MOST of the time from now forward . . . ending ???

We have been pushing to get our "ducks in a row".

This includes WHO will pick up at school, take care of kids, and handle unforseen basic daily care of PA kids with one parent FAR away and potential of other "single" parent incapacitated, or worse.

I urge EVERYONE to have a full set of instructions on file with guardians, personal attorneys, grandparents, daycare, nanny, sitters, SCHOOLS, employers, neighbors as to the SAFE CARE AND DAY-To-DAY LIFE WITH LFTA CHILD!

Spell it out: Clearly, step-by-step, meal-by-meal, food-by-food, if you have to.

This is not going to be a 1-page happy-nonsense document. This needs to be a clear, written-for-NON-FA-knowledgeable document.

This should, by all means, be with your WILL and guardian-naming paperwork.

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY this information should be IMMEDIATELY and INSTANTLY at hand, in the event of disaster to you parents.

Mother to 2:
DD age 6, treated as though PA/TNA. Drug & chemical (sunscreen) allergies.
DS age 8, PA, suspected TNA, Latex, legumes?, sunscreens . . .
(PA diagnosed & ana reaction 1999)

In addition, I have the FAAN video "It Only Takes One Bite" and an epipen trainer with those papers.

Great suggestions! Can anyone share what specifically they've included or would include in theirs. I'm still learning a lot in dealing with my son's PA.
Edited to add:
I found this link in creating a Family Information Notebook (from the MN food allergy support website). I haven't spent much time with it, but looks like some good ideas here, too).
