Here is the email that I received from continental about flying on it. They don't get it...

Thank you for your e-mail regarding your upcoming flight and allergy to
peanuts.

We understand the reasons behind your request for a “peanut free'
flight. However, due to the widespread use of peanut products in the food
service industry, it is virtually impossible for us to guarantee that
there will be no peanuts or peanut products on any flight. Nonetheless,
in an effort to accommodate our passengers with peanut allergies, we
have added pretzels as a snack alternative on each flight.

We are fully aware that you are a concerned customer, working to ensure
your safety and assure you that we would never intentionally put any
passenger in harms way. Maintaining the highest levels of safety for our
passengers is our top priority. Additionally, Continental is committed
to providing a quality service to each of our passengers. We value
your business and will be happy to work with you to ensure that our staff
is doing everything possible to meet your family's needs. However,
Continental has no plans to introduce a “Peanut free zone” on future
flights.

To minimize the chance of peanuts being served on your flight, I would
recommend taking early morning flights or flights with a meal service
if possible. These flights are less likely to include peanuts being
served in during the beverage service. In addition to carrying any
medication that may be necessary, I would also recommend carrying a light
snack with you. This will eliminate the possibility of unknowingly
ingesting food that has come into contact with peanuts or peanut oils.

Thank you for your time. We look forward to welcoming you on your
Continental flights in April.

Sincerely,
Vanessa Peters
Customer Care Manager
