What kind of Christmas candy/chocolates are okay to buy for PA/TNA?

On Dec 8, 2006

Hershey's makes chocolate Santas that come six in a package. They also have bags of Rolos in red green and gold foil, and red and green Kissables. There are holiday wrapped tootsie rolls and tootsie pops.

(I haven't called on these this year, but I trust Hershey's and Tootsie's labeling.)

Andes mints, Queen Anne chocolate-covered cherries, York Peppermint Patties, Cadbury candy-coated chocolate balls (can't remember what they call them!), some Hershey's Kisses. Seems like the Cello chocolate-covered cherries are fine, too, but check the label -- as always!

I just bought a bag of the christmas kissables. I havent bought the chocolate santas or kisses from hershey since my son said his mouth was hot eating them . He wont eat them anymore. Never figured it out

andes mints are safe?

I have to look for those christmas rolos

I like to stick them in the stockings

Double-check the Hershey Santas. I want to say they started adding a almond warning last year, like the mini bars did. becca

Mini Santas here in VA do not have a warning, but the miniture plain bars have an almond warning. We do Rolo's, Kissables, kisses and tootsie pops. Yummy!

My 2yr old loves chocolate so much he starts dancing around whenever he eats it! We call it the chocolate dance.

The Hershey's Santas I've seen this year do not have a peanut or nut warning.

I just bought Hershey's Santa and they have not warning about peanuts/or tree nuts. But I believe they have a coconut ingrediant in case anyone is allergic to coconut. Always check the label. I also bought kissables and dark hershey's kisses.

Sorry, I was wrong about the coconut ingrediant in the Hersheys Santa chocolate.

I am addicted to kissables as I sit and eat the big bag of red, green and white ones I bought my kids.........

At my local K-Mart (in the NE U.S.) I found chocolate Santas, Nutcrackers, and Snowmen in silver boxes that say "Manufactured in a Peanut-Free Facility" prominently on the back of the package. These were about 8" tall, and they also had a much larger hollow one. They are in white chocolate also. The company is Merlin's Candies, from New Orleans.
