I didn't know whether to post a new thread or add to the old one. So I started a new one...
DH was on vacation all last week and when he went back there was a memo that came out last week to pull all the chili and throw it away.
They sent in new stuff still called Terlingua Chili, but it has no PB in it.
This is all I know more details to follow. THey had a manager meeting today and he said that no one knew any more than this...
I will update you guys if I find out anything new.
****KISS****
Can you hear that smooch all the way from Houston?
Way cool--thanks so much for posting this. Just last night we could have gone but didn't because of the blasted PB chili. So happy to know it won't be a problem in the near future!!!
Hey y'all--for a long time (and maybe even now), the mayor of Terlingua, Texas was a beer drinking goat. Yep. They have a fabulous chili cook off there. World famous.

ROFLMAO!!!
Check this out about those beer-drinking goats.

WOO HOO!!!!!!
Anxiously looking forward to new posts about this......Hopefully it tasted yucky!!!!
thanks!!!
Interesting..I looked at their website just now. Now, instead of the little asterisk after the terlingua chili, right in the description it says "with our secret ingredient...peanut butter". The saga continues. I only hope the PB chili really does disappear from all of their restaurants. I like to think that our awful experience helped them in their decision. We'll never know though.

I forgot, your husband works at Chilis? I'd love to hear more. This is great news if it happens all over.
I wonder how long before we can consider the place safe again?

I hope it happens everywhere b/c that is one of our favorite places to eat. Haven't been there since they added pb. Talked to the manager and they are ok with us bringing McD's or something. So we might end up going anyway.
Didn't chili's use pb in other stuff? I seem to remember something about sauce for lettuce wraps?

Yes they do but they always kept that away from the foods for my son. But with the changes recently he's decided no more Chili's. I'd like to get it back.

Yes they had/have a peanut dipping sauce for the wraps. My girlfriend accidently spilled her entire dish all over everything...Herself, the booth, table floor....I often wondered about how well the mess was cleaned up (like out of the crack of the booth??!!) I will not take my PA DS into a Chili's after I saw this happen. (each to thier own)
