I have written a children's story on peanut allergies for my son to take to preschool. It is called "Allie the Allergic Elephant".

The book is geared toward preschool age through first grade. It explains why an allergic child will say "no thank you" to foods offered, what an allergic reaction looks like (hives, coughing, swelled lips) and which foods "hide" peanuts.

I have received rave reviews of the book and the illustrations. Imagine an elephant with hives!

If you're interested in purchasing this book, my husband and I have self published it under our business: Jungle Communications, Inc. The price is $15 plus shipping. You can contact us at (719) 633-2913 or write us at 2500 N. Circle Drive, Suite 300, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.

I ordered this book--it's great!

My 3-year-old son loves it, and I have recommended it to friends.

We just got our copy of "Allie" yesterday, and have already read it many times! My 20-month old loves it. We've found it much more helpful than the "Preschooler's Guide" (illustrations are more engaging and the language is more child-friendly), and more on the level of a toddler/preschooler than "No Nuts for Me," which I think would be more appropriate for a K-Grade 2 level.

Just wanted to put in our 2-cents. Thanks, Nicole!

Does anyone know of a video for young children on Peanut Allergy. My grandson, 2yrs. loves to watch videos. It would be great for him to see something about Peanut Allergy. Please advise. Thanks,

Hi:

Just wanted to let people know that "No Nuts For Me" has now been animated and can be found at (edited by the office; old url removed as that web site address is no longer used or owned by the book company that published the no nuts for me book. The book company's web site on 01/08/2007 http://www.tumblebooks.com ) We've had fun bringing Noah to life. Would love to get feedback from those of you who have the book and now see the animation.

Ron Zevy: We have the book and watch the animation on your site, it is great! Now, we would love to have a "No Nuts For Me" VIDEO to show to our preschool class, etc. Do you have one in the works?

Well, I spoke with Ron Zevy at No Nuts For Me and they do not have a video. My son loves the book and enjoys watching the animated book online, too bad there is not a video!!

Does anyone have a peanut allergy video that they think is good? I know of the Allie the allergic elephant video, but before I purchase it I would like to know if there are any other ones worthwhile.

I did a search to see if there was a dicussion about videos but only found info on books. Thanks!

I watched the animated book video on line for No Nuts for Me a month or so ago. Then I recently tried to get into the website and I cannot access it. Has anyone else had this problem? I really wanted to show it to my sons.
