pWere any of you or your kids exposed to chemicals? The reason I ask this is because the little girl that has peanut allergies we know was exposed to chloridane when she was young. She lives in an older remodeled house and it had high levels of chloridane in it. They had to seal any air leaks and do a lot of things to her house. My son was exposed to it when he was little. I remember the pest man spraying the pecan trees that he always played under. He also had a pool under the trees. Both me and my wife worked in a factory that used trichlorethans to clean phone equipment with very little ventalation./p

i personally would question the pecan trees more than the chemicals. My daughter was not exposed to any type of chemical that i am aware of. Our house was less than 5 years old when she was born, so I don't think there were any "old" chemicals lying around.

Cloridane is a chemical that was used to kill
termites and ants. It never breaks down. It was used for a long time. If I'm not mistaken it was taken off the shelves in the late 80's or early 90's. Usually it was used before a house was built, but it was used a lot to treat termites in peer and beem houses. It was also good to kill most any bug
which we have a lot of in Texas. They took it off the market because it causes cancer and other things.
