My son has always loved eating Apple Cinnamon Cheerios as a peanut allergy kid. It has never been a problem that nuts were manufactured because he is not allergic to tree nuts. (almonds in Honey Nut Cheerios) Now, with the inclusion of the peanut butter variety, we are concerned about the possibility of cross-contamination. Has anyone received a straight, detailed answer from the company about their "strict" guidelines for cleaning? Are the cereals produced in the same room, on the same lines etc.? What does their "cleaning" entail? I have tried to contact, but nothing, yet. Thank you for your help.
