Hi, we are from Charlotte but new to the going out to dinner thing with our daughter. She is three and I usually take her food with us whereever we go. Recently I have gotten brave and let her eat grilled cheese and fries at Harpers (there are two locations one in the Southpark area the other near Woodlawn and I-77) Showmars (it's an upscale fast food place if that's what you would call it, they are located throughout the city), Chili's, Tony Romas, and Mama Ricotta's a delicious italian restuarant near downtown. Also Fuel Pizza. If there are anymore that I can think of I will write again. Good luck.

i was recently in charlotte and had a great experience at Mert's Heart and Soul (downtown on college st.). great tradtional southern cooking--greens, sweet potatoes, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, etc. the waitress was an added bonus, as her best friend was PA/TNA, so she was very understanding.
