Chapman\'s Ice Cream Sundae Cup - Not Properly Labeled \Yet\

pI contacted Chapman's ice cream about "safe" sundae cups for an upcoming Fun Fair at my son's school. Here are copies of the e-mails I received. The only reason I am even posting that the sundae cups are "unsafe" is that they are only beginning to label them as "may contain". I am actually quite disappointed in this company which I consider very food allergy aware on both their website and in their print ads./p
pBelow is the result of your feedback form. It was submitted by Cindy Spowartbr /

p aboutsite: Excellent, especially your allergy awareness./p
p comments: I am the parent of a child that is deathly allergic to peanuts. Ibr /
want to commend you on both your website and your food allergy awareness. Ibr /
always recommend Chapman's ice cream and popsicles as "safe". Mybr /
son's school is planning a Fun Fair this June. Last year, at the barbequebr /
portion, they were selling ice cream for dessert in the little cups. It wasbr /
supplied by Good Humour which is not "safe" for peanut allergicbr /
individuals. I am wondering if you have similar small ice cream cups that wouldbr /
be available for the Fun Fair this year. All I currently know is that it is inbr /
June. I am not clear how many ice cream cups would be required. Any assistancebr /
you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you for your time andbr /
consideration./p
pThank you for taking the time to write to us, we always appreciate feedback frombr /

pDear M.L. Cumming:br /
Thank-you for your very quick response to my inquiry. The sundae cups thatbr /
you do produce, are they labeled as "may contain" or are they simplybr /
not run on a dedicated line?/p
p Thank-you for your time and consideration./p
p Cindy Spowart Cook/p
pThank you for contacting us when you had questions. The sundae cups are NOT ranbr /
on a dedicated line that is why we will not guarantee them. Presently, we arebr /
in the process of changing our packaging to state "may contain" on thebr /
lid of each sundae cup. /p
pKindest regards,/p
