pI am interested in starting a group in the central Iowa area; specifically around the Des Moines/Ames area. If you know of anyone interested, please let me know. I'd also appreciate tips on starting a group. I'm going to talk with my son's allergist about it next week, and get input from him as well./p

kbeee - Are you still out there? Or anyone else in Central Iowa who already knows of an existing support group or who wants to start one in the Des Moines area? THanks.

I keep trying to reply, and am having trouble. Hopefully my reply won't come up 3 or 4 times (sorry if it does!). I know a fwe other moms who would also like to meet. I live in Ankeny.
My e-mail address is KBeee@msn.com
E-mail me, and we'll set a date and time to meet.
Karen
P.S. What are the ages of the PA sufferers? My son is 3 and he's highly allergic. My daugher just turned one, and we're not sure about her yet, but I'm suspicious.

It's me again; once I hear from a person or 2, we'll pick a date, time, and a place, and post here where we're meeting.
It'll be great to get a local group going to share thoughts and ideas.

The next meeting for the Central Iowa group will be Monday, September 29 at 7:30 PM at the Urbandale Public Library. We will be discussing school issues.
Everyone who gave me their names and addresses at the last meeting should have received an e-mail last week with this information. There were a few e-mails that were returned to me as invalid addresses, so if you dodn't get the e-mail, contact me so I can get your information correct.
Thanks
Karen

Are you Central Iowa people still around? I'm originally from Indianola and we're planning on relocating back to the Des Moines area next year.
If possible, I'd like to choose a community to live in that has a school system that is very responsive to the needs of kids with PA. I'm interested to get to know some people in the area who could fill me in on what's going on around there.
Thanks!
Amy
