Becca, my daughter is allergic to eggs also, but I have seen several brands of candy corn without egg. I haven`t been able to buy them because they are on shared equipment with peanuts. So not all candy corn has egg. Maybe since you are in a different part of the country you can find one. If so, let me know!

Carefulmom, if I find some, I will happily send you a care package! Going to KMART today.
Ugh. The food projects at school never stop. Next week is a candy corn count. I have yet to find out what that actually is, but no way can I expect my dd to be restarined enough not to have any if it is all around! I am hoping to make it into a skittle count, but need to return a call to the teacher. They are trying to be PN/nut free, but I bet they do not have safe candy corn for this(there are two other PA students). I hope it is a guess how many game where they can just get some on the way home. becca

Okay, for those of you having trouble finding the Blueberry Hill candy corn, they did have it at KMart. Large bags of it on sale 3/$5. The Brachs does not have eggs, but I dont consider it safe, and I believe nobody here does. Just an FYI! Becca

I know there are several other threads on candy corn here, but would someone please refresh our memories about why candy corn (specifically Brach's) is unsafe? I think it would help to add that to this evergrowing thread.
(If I find it, I'll post it, but please - if you already know the answer, jump in anytime!)

Hi, Lam. I think it is because they have a "manufactured in a facility that manufactures nuts and peanuts" on it. I looked at a bag today as a matter of fact and that was on the bag. I don't believe there was any peanut products listed in the ingredients, just the manufactured blurb. Hope it helps!

I thought they had a warning too, and saw on a bag yesterday that there was no warning. Maybe they have some made elsewhere and not in a shared facility. I was actually going on faith from reading here that all Brachs is unsafe, that they make all kinds of stuff, including nutty chocolate on shared equipment. I will try contacting them, in case I am wrong. Maybe my dd can do the candy corn count with Brachs(egg free)! becca
PS(Andrea, I tried emailing you. I do not want to get as personal as my precise location here, and my email has too much personal info as well. If you want to update your email address, I will email you offboard. Maybe we can make an arrangement to get you some candy corn. )

Becca, thanks for pointing out my out of date e-mail. Didn't even realize.
I corrected it and will e-mail you from home later.

The packages I checked over the weekend had no warning at all. Again, this is Brachs.
I'm on my way to do a site search.
