nikky, no, you're not missing anything. I've gone completely stir crazy, watching a repeat of Without a Trace tonight and only caught glimpes of Anthony LaPaglia, watched it anyway, drooled regardless, and well, I've gone purely insane. Have taken to SCREAMING at most inopportune times here of late, not clear why, but definitely a WARNING scream to erik re the date. If I had the two anniversary dates to choose from, I'd choose the first one. However. Also something to do with a period that for the last 6 months has shown up on the 12th of each month, a mind of it's own it has, and this month, bang, it's decided not to show up and it's what? The 23rd now? There may be a lot more screaming going on yet.
To top off the snow that hit us last night and again this morning, which I did dig out for Canada Post employee this morning after taking the kids to school and which was blown over by the afternoon because of the wind, we are now undergoing another cold wave.
On the positive side, with the barn house back door deciding that it is flying open despite being locked and bolted, and dog getting out and running across 4 lane highway after looking at me with a look that said "Cindy, I love the snow" and what I do believe was a great big grin, sightings of him were made by the local crossing guard and other people not too far from our home.
Having to run to Ultraplus after school for something necessary (oh, sinus medication, doesn't feel like it's working right now), and buying The Front Street Bakery apple pie to bake along with some Chapman's vanilla ice cream so part of Mother Guilt was assuaged for the time being, we came home, down the hill, could barely make it for the blowing snow and cold and I wished for death, only to see the dog quite a bit down the street on the sidewalk cavorting with another dog. The children, ran like crazy to try to get to their dog, poor wee souls, and called his name. He ran to them, licked them and let them pet him and then ran to me, not quite sure if he knew I had his lead in my pocket or not and then we all got safely home to the old barn house.
Strange, maddening, upsetting and almost frightening thing but for the last two days I have been receiving phone calls where the person is blocking their phone number. Not clear if it is someone trying to reach my DH or not. However, even if that was the case, when I answer the phone and say hello repeatedly, it would be *nice* for someone to answer if only to say that they're looking for Ron or have the wrong number.
Scared the bejesus out of me tonight after calling this afternoon having me say hello three times and then hanging up. Tonight they call, do the same thing and then damned if they didn't call back twenty minutes later, let the phone ring four times and when I traced the number, same thing. Trouble is, you can't even block the calls out if you get Call Blocking if the person is blocking their number. So, a bit wigged out by all that as well.
Got up just now, unclear as to why, had to take more medication for my head, went downstairs, read a great piece in Vanity Fair about some absurd laws in New York City (unlawful use of a milk crate, etc.), remembered I have been forgetting to leave the tap running slightly to prevent freezing, so the tap is back on, thought I would check daily topics now to see what was up and running and now I'm off to bed again.
Best wishes!

Cindy,
Wow....you are definately having a crazier week than I am! LOL Those phone calls sound quite distressing....have you mentioned them to DH? Too funny...I read the same article about the milk crates in New York! It was the Palm Beach article that really caught my eye. All that wasted money and people SO full of themselves....that's what money does to alot of people though...makes them think they are better than everyone else and deserving of constant "happiness". Blessed are the poor.....
Any way.... hope things get less crazy for you next week! Have a good weekend!

I know that everyone responding to Sillyfeline mean well, but I know what she is going through. She is depressed, hyper and anxious from all the meds she is taking, and the more reactions she has, the more meds she takes, and the more anxious she gets. .. and medical doctors don't know what to think, so they say to go to a shrink!! She's not crazy.
I don't think Sillyfeline means to lash out at anyone, but she is desperate because she can't get the answers from our message board. (listen to me...I sound like mommybear!)
Sillyfeline, please check out N.A.E.T. It works. ...I have a peanut and nut allergy also. Not just my son.
take care. ......And by the way......I am not crazy either Medication can really give you mood swings. (ventilin, flovent etc.) When I got off of them, I was a different person.
