This past weekend's "USA Weekend" magazine has an article about 2003's best innovations. "Chow Down on the Run. Burger King is developing bite-sized, deep-fried snacks, one with a hamburger and fixings inside, and another with peanut butter and jelly inside. Both could reach consumers by the end of the year. According to supermarketguru.com editor Phil Lempert, these products are part of a trend toward foods you can gulp on the go."
I don't think I'd care for these two new foods anyway, BUT, now we can be assured that the oil will be contaminated, plus the preparation areas, and the hands of the employees, and that BK will be off our list of places to eat if you or your child has a peanut allergy.
What is this obsession with peanut butter in this country?
Does anyone know how to get a hold of a BK higher up. Maybe if they were inundated the way Nestle in Canada was they would reconsider.

You have got to be kidding? If they start making PB&J for "on the go" then I'll "keep going" and will not eat there again. Even if my PA son isn't with me!
Good grief, Charlie Brown!
Thanks for sharing this with us KathyL.

DS (who doesn't even like burgers to begin with.... thought we'd humour his sister who loves cheese burgers...) wants to go to Burger King this week because - they have BeyBlade toys. We were considering it. Not now!

OK...OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHGROSS!! What in the world are folks thinking? There may be some out there who would find this appetizing, but it sounds kind of nasty to me. But we don't go to BK anyway...One of them around here (North MS) has admitted to using Peanut Oil from "time to time" and the others had no idea what they used. The truth is though, this was no big disappointment to lose this one from our list of safe places (I was devastated when we lost Taco Bell, for instance) because I have yet to be in one where the service or the food was worth the trouble. But, if you decide to write or email in protest, let me know. I will be happy to support the effort!

That sounds purdy nasty...along w/the green ketchup they offer here!
Glad you posted!
Geez! This is one of the few places that our whole family can eat. I don't trust McDonalds' at all. We should all write BK!! So not fair!

Okay that tops the grossest thing I have heard today list. Last week the topper was the local pub offering a new hamburger with peanut butter slathered on top. YUCK!!

I'm back in here again as I just can't believe this! I am sitting here thinking if I am starving and in my car, my first thought would be hmmm a nice burger and fries would be great about now...not hmmm PB&J bites from Burger King...can't pass that up!!
The thought of it makes me lose my appetite...hey they might be on to something!
PB&J is something *on the go* that you make in your own home, not something you order from a drive-thru!

Yes, it is gross, isn't it? I might actually write to Burger King on this one. We don't go for fast food very often, because of the cost and because it's not always the healthiest stuff (tell that to the guy suing McDonald's for making him fat). But once in a while I don't mind. I would not buy this deep fried pb&j anyway, yuck! What did they do, survey 2 year olds?
Yuck! That's it. Just Yuck!
