I wouldn't be worried at all.
Quebec so far has been free of SARS and we have plenty of kit kat bars here ;-)

Yes.. all the Kit Kat bars are made in Toronto and exported across Canada and there are no problems.
SARS is not out in the general population spreading everywhere.. the cases have all been linked to the initial exposures at Scarborough Grace Hospital so if you stay away from hospitals you are fine. I buy Kit Kats and am fine [img][/img]

SARS isn't only in Toronto Canada, it IS also in the US.

Thanks I new erik would be up on the candy!
it was not an issue for me, it was for my husband. I think it was an issue for him because The Boston Red Sox have a game up in Toronto so it has been all over the sports news as to what the team should and should not do..

Just wanted to add one piece of info that might help your hubby accept Canadian candy.
The news said the SARS virus only lives on surfaces about 24 hours. Since the bars are individually wrapped that means - eat them the second day [img][/img]

We have plenty of kit kats here in Newfoundland too, with not a single known SARS case! [img][/img]

We are eating all the foods, and (chocolate bars) that we have always eaten. No problem.
All the cases linked to SARS have had direct contact with the Scarborough Grace Hospital.
