I called DARE who makes the Breton Crackers.(800-668-3273) I was told that the crackers made in the USA are made in a peanut free plant.

HOWEVER,the ones made in Canada are made in the same place as the cookies, so may contain peanuts/nuts. The package will list traces or may contain on the Canadian package if there is a chance of cross-contamination.

She stressed that the label be checked carefully. It should state that the crackers were made in South Carolina, United States. If made in the USA it will also have either an "S", "T" or "U" following the "best used before" date.
