As we are finding more things my daughter is allergic to I am considering getting a breadmaker. Any thoughts, suggestions, comments, hints, ideas?

Thanks.

pWe used our breadmaker frequently when our 6 yr. was smaller and still milk allergic. We have a hitachi model and it still works great after 5 years. I liked the feature which let you make extra large loaves since its hard to cut thin slices of bread and the loaves go quickly. Also my son liked the square loaf (some have round pans) since it looked like regular bread. The other feature we loved was a delay start timer. I would put the ingredients in before bed and set it so the bread would be ready just as we were waking up in the morning. The smell of fresh baked bread waking you up is one of the small pleasures in life. And we all know we need some of those. Good luck./p

pI've been using a Black Decker breadmaker for nearly 3 years now, and it's still in excellent condition. Makes delicious bread too. /p
pAt first, the bread was too dense, so I added a tiny bit more liquid than the recipe called for, and it lightened up. /p
