I was wondering if anyone has gone on the Ben & Jerry's Factory tour either with themselves being PA or having a PA child. We were thinking about going to Vermont in a couple of weeks and might do the tour, but was wondering if there is a sampling option for my PA son.

Thank you for reaching out to the community with your question. Firstly, we want to let you know that we think it is great that you’re taking your family on a vacation! We know that travel is stressful, and when you have a child with food allergies it can be even more so. From getting auto-injectors through security and onto the plane, to making sure there is no cross-contamination in your hotel room, peanut allergies can be a real struggle when you’re away from home.
However, it is so important to expose children to all the amazing places this world has to offer! This is why so many people with peanut allergies and other food allergies continue to travel (with the necessary planning, of course).
As for Vermont, and specifically the Ben & Jerry’s Factory, we did a little digging on the Ben & Jerry’s website and found this exchange in their FAQs:
Q: What if I have an allergy? A: Please advise your scooper or tour guide and they will accommodate as best we can.
It appears that there is a possibility of a sampling option for a boy with peanut allergies. Of course, we would suggest calling the company before you purchase your tour tickets and make sure that they can work with you. Also, we posed your question to our Facebook community and this is what they had to say.
We hope this information is helpful! Take care, and have a great trip!
