Baker\'s Chocolate in Canada may no longer be safe

In short, it states that Kraft will close its plant in Laval, which currently manufactures Baker's chocolate, and Maxwell House coffee.

Baker's chocolate will be passed on to subcontractors.

Shoot. I said it was the plant in Laval, but it's the one in Lasalle. I misread the article.. The rest is ok though (well, ok is a relative term).
This was announced today at 17h04 and we're already on the case! Way to go, PA.com! ;-)

In today's French paper, there was a mention that Baker's chocolate would be subcontracted to Barry Callebaut. That in itself is good news, because they make GREAT chocolate.
However, I do not know at this point whether the plant in Ste.Hyacinthe is peanut free or not.
