Allison, I am not a New Yorker, but I was reading in the restaurants section and noticed there is a peanut free place to dine. Maybe you even posted there, but thought I would mention it in case you didn't know. Everyone seemd to love it who tried it and the chef or owner is PA. becca

Thanks Becca for your suggestion...one of these days I'd like to check out the restaurant but right now I'm an EXTREMELY poor college student so my budget it kind of tight. I think we may meet for coffee or at a starbucks or something less expensive. I will definitely let you know how it goes.

Hey all:
I was at Rive Gauche again last week -- fabulous meal.
The waiter mentioned that the owner, Dean Palin, who has a nut allergy, as owns several other restaurants in NYC, and some of them are nut free. I'm in the process of trying to find out which are on that list.
Stay tuned.
Also, Rive Guache has a great weekend special: $19.95 for appitizers, entree and dessert -- I think htye have the special from 5-7pm on weekdays and drink specials too!
