Anyone have these? I would really love to try them, but I called and I think was told they use shared equipment. But then I was doing a search and found that people here eat Kraft Pita chips, which I think Athenos is. Anyone have any luck with these?

We have never tried the Athenos brand pita chips. We have always used the garden fresh gourmet brand pita chips and hummus. I've never called the company but its what we have always used (I've never seen peanut as an ingredient in any of their products).

They also make excellent salsa too BTW... very addicting salsa.

FYI-I have emailed garden fresh gourmet and was told they don't use nuts in any of their products.
eta: here is the email I got from them (it took several tries before I got their email I guess):
[i]Hi Gale,
I am so happy to hear that you finally recieved my e-mail. Well I have some more good news, we have nothing to do with any type of peanut, nuts, in our factory or products! Enjoy!!
Thanks,
Shannon

Thank you SO much for this info. Now I just have to find out if they are available in Illinois. Their products look VERY good and healthy, too. I really hope I can find them. Does anyone have the names of store chains that carry them?

I buy them at Meijer, in the deli section.

Do you mean the garden fresh gourmet stuff? If so I get them at Martins and I've also seen them at kroger, super walmart and meijer.

Thank you so much for checking into this and posting it. I buy that brand for my DH and DS, but I was afraid to eat it.
