I am not sure statistics either. I know for us, yes my son Jake has pn/tn/egg AND asthma(and eczema)....his older sister is not pn allergic and also has asthma....so far his younger brother is not pn allergic and he does not have asthma either(just other food allergies....it's confusing, no doubt. We don't have asthma in immediate family either, so who knows how some get it and some don't.

Hi there,
I was told by my recently new pediatrician that sometimes asthma stems from an undiagnosed milk allergy. My 4 yr. old daughter had a chronic cough for the last year and 1/2 or so, worse certain times of the year, but mainly April - Sept. She is only PA, but I do beleive now that when she was an infant she did have problems w/ milk b/c she always had excema. My old pediatrician who I really trusted would constantly tell me it was just a cough not to worry. After finally 4 yrs. I brought her to this new Dr. and she told me that my Daughter was exhibiting sighns of asthma and that it can come from undiagnosed milk allergies and food allergies. She has been on singulair since Dec. and has not coughed since.
