Bump
I want to add my stats... I am 5'8 dark brown hair now(was born blonde) lighter skin, but I do tan nicely, brownish/hazel eyes. Hubby is 6'3 salt a pepper hair now(was born blonde) and very fair, burns terribly, hazel/green eyes. Oldest is dirty blonde(was a toe-head) fair skin, hazel/green eyes and very tall(she's in 2nd grade and the same size of many 4th and 5th grade boys int he neighborhood). 2nd oldest is blonde(was toe-head) and very fair, burns easy, blue eyes. He is always 50% for size. 3rd born is a big boy too(usually 80% for size) blonde(toe-head), brown eyes and medium skin, he tans super nice! And the youngest is still a toe-head with bluish/hazel eyes and she is very petite, currently 5%.
I'll have to read this more, it's pretty interesting! Thanks for raising

Intriguing thread ... thanks for the bump. The petite Mom theme is bizarre. They truly seem to be over-represented and I'll add to it ... my wife if 5'2", 100 pounds. (I'm 6'0, 185.) My spidey-sense says that can't really be a factor but alas I have no data to support that.

No petite mom here either, nor dad. I'm 5'7", DH is 6'. No one in my immediate family is under 5'5", although DH's mom is about 5'1" or 5'2". Don't know for sure except she is shorter than my 12- and 15-year old daughters.
Can't quite imagine I've never replied to this thread in all the years....
We're all very, very fair.
No petite mom here, though.... I'm 5'7" and DH is 6'.
We all have pale skin-- mine and DD's so fair it is almost transparent. All blue eyes too-- DD's are an deep indigo, DH's a light ocean-blue, and mine are a Welsh slate (they appear different colors depending upon what I am wearing-- green/grey or blue).
DH is Scots and English, I am mostly Welsh, with a bit of Irish-Cherokee. I do not have "Cherokee eyes"-- but my Mom does.
DD is highly to profoundly gifted. (Much moreso than either DH or I.) She is in 5th grade now and is 7-- though she doesn't find the work very hard, to be honest.
This is so interesting! Here are our stats:
I am of Scottish/Irish descent, very skinny, 5'6", brown hair but reddish tint and it was super blonde as a child, extrememly fair skin (I say I glow), tons of freckles, blue eyes and long lashes. I have major environmental allergies and drug allergies. I am also lactose intolerant.
Hubby is Scottish, very thin, 5'9", light brown hair but white blonde as a child, light green eyes, fair skin but has darkened over the years, some freckles and long lashes. He has environmental allergies and drug allergies. He has had asthma since childhood.
Riley, our son, is thin, just under 3 feet at almost 3 y/o, white blonde hair that is turning more reddish blonde, super fair skin and has been getting a few freckles here and there, bright blue eyes, and super long lashes! He is allergic to PN, avoiding TN, strawberries, penicillin, sulfa and was lactose intolerant at birth but has since outgrown. He also has bad environmental allergies and we are waiting to be checked for astma which I am sure is positive.
What's interesting to me most, is in the thread *In Memory* this smaller, fair skin etc... characteristics, doesn't much apply...I look at those faces and see the far to many differnt types of people this effects.

I saw the list of children with allergies at ds's school.....I could only pronounce 2 of the names. There were Indian, Chinese, and Japanese children on the list. Of the two children that I know the best...DS ...is very fair, I am so NOT petite at 5 foot 9+ and have english/german heritage....DH is same height with scottish heritage and hazel eyes. The other child that I know well is Jewish and I really don't know his heritage but has light olive skin and beautiful hazel eyes.
I admit to first associating severe food allergies with Caucasian heritage and felt confident that my son, being 2/3 Asian, didn't have anything to worry about. I was very wrong. After seeing the topic of Asian Americans with PA and knowing another Chinese family in real life that had to deal with their child's food allergies I have a harder time linking it to race.
It's weird. We let him play normally and get grubby as little boys do before the PA. He was such an otherwise healthy kid.
