Just had dinner at Applewood in Menlo Park. I asked if there were any nuts in their products and they said no. I said "even in your pesto?" and they said no, they stopped putting nuts in their pesto and any of their products due to the increase in nut allergies.

So we had a peaceful meal - no stress - and yummy, yummy pizza!

Wow, thats good to know! I live across the bay in Oakland and will remember this place in the future. Right now my toddler has multiple food allergies so restaurants are out of the question. But I like hearing things like this!!!
Thanks,
Elena

I've eaten at the Menlo Park place (but not recently -- years ago). I live on the Peninsula.
The curious thing about pesto...by definition, you make pesto with pine nuts. So are they making it with only basil and olive oil? We avoid pesto in all restaurants because my kids are allergic to most legumes.
