I was just curious. Alex, an owner of PhillySwirl, had told me that they would be putting something like, "Safe for those with peanut/tree-nut allergies" on their labels. They were supposed to be out already based on our conversation. I'm really excited about this hoping other manufacturers see the market. Has anyone seen any of their products with new labels?

Not yet, but I am sure glad to hear that this will be happening. I really applaud Alex (and his partner) for caring so much about our kids. Hooray! Miriam

I apologize for any confusion anyone might have about our labeling. Our original Phillyswirl (dairy-free) STIX have NUT-FREE in the lower left hand corner of the front of the package. Please understand that we're doing everything we can to run through our current inventory of boxes and then all of our packaging will have NUT-FREE printed on the front!!! Please call me @ my office M-F TOLL FREE 877-379-4757 or anytime directly on my cell phone @ 813.477.4159 and allow me to explain everything in person or answer any and all of your questions. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

That's great that it will have "nut-free" on the packaging. It will assist those looking for nut-free products who may not be aware that Philly Swirl products are safe.
With the increasing number of children with nut allergies, this will help out with people shopping for them such as parents, aunts, uncles, neighbours, etc

thank you alex! my kids recently tried philly swirl and loved them (the pops and sorbet type cups). besides the labelling being helpful to those with food allergies, i also think it will help relatives, teachers, friends, etc.. to see companies taking food allergies seriously. maybe it will rub off on those who are a little harder to convince. thanks!

Does anyone know where in North Carolina I can get Philly Swirl? I emailed three different supermarket chains encouraging them to stock it. I would love to try it.
If you are an NC local, has anyone tried Goodberry's for their PA child?

Dear PattyR!!
What grocery stores are in close proximity of where you live? Possibly a Wal-MART Superstore or a Food Lion?

Patty-
I live in W-S, NC. I can find Philly Swirl at Winn Dixie, Lowe's (next to the peanut ice cream and they won't move it, bTW!), Food Lion, Costco, and Wal Mart. I haven't checked Harris teeter. I have checked Whole Foods, and it is not there. I wish I could find it at Whole Foods!
Where are you in NC?

Sometimes I have trouble finding some of the varieties of PhillySwirl in my supermarket. I have no problem to ask the Manager to pleazzzze stock PhillySwirl because not only do I buy it like crazy for my grandsons, but now most of the neighborhood has fallen in love with PhillySwirl. You know what happens when one child has something, everyone else wants it. I told some of my neighbors to call or e-mail PhillySwirl for the Free Coupon they are offering. So, just continue to "bug" the Manager of the store you shop in. Eventually, they will listen. It has worked for me.

where in Vermont are you ? (this is totally unrelated to Phillyswirl...) It's just that you started homeschooling, and we do too, and it would make for a nice day trip if you're relatively close to the Canadian border.
