We live just north of SA and just found out on Thursday that our 2 year old daughter has a peanut allergy. So we're new at this! :)

Sorry to hear about your daughters diagnosis. I am still working on figuring this all out myself. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any support groups in this area so I rely solely on research and the forum. There is a lot of good information here. I work for HEB and I have been working with the QA folks on finding out what HEB items are safe (made in nut free facilities) and surprisingly I am finding a lot of HEB brand items are safe. I am compiling a list so if you are interested I don't mind sharing the information.
Take care

I'm glad to know there is a lot of good information here. I'm just now starting to research and find information, and it can get quite overwhelming at times. I would love to see your list of HEB safe items if you don't mind sharing. That's good to hear that you're finding a lot of safe foods...especially since I do most of my shopping there. Thanks!

I also know that the central market chicken broth is safe. On the label it states that is made in a peanut nut tree nut FREE facility.
Whene he mentions all of the HEB frozen waffles he is referring to the Central Market, HEB Brand and Hill Country Fare.
I am still waiting on information on more items so as soon as I receive it I will post those also.

Yes.... Kerrville..... DD is about to turn 13 in 2 weeks and we just received our results from her RAST testing. To quote "Never seen anyone with this result" "She is unmeasurable". So if you have any questions I have been at this for 11 years now. I do not everything but.... lets just say we have faught many battles.
It is not as bad as your mind makes it to be and it IS manageable!
Also this is not so rare. She is in 7th grade this year and she is one of 19 in her grade with the same allergy. So you are not as alone as you may think.
Keep your chin up.
