I know that I need to contact the Wendy's Restaurant chain directly but am curious before I even do this if any of you have safely eaten this item from Wendy's Restaurant. I have the recipe to make it at home but my child would love to order it from the menu. We stopped ordering ice cream cones from McDonald's because we felt some of the restaurants were at high risk of cross contamination. Any comments would be appreciated.

my kids eat wendy's frosties almost exclusively. we've never had a problem. thank God for wendy's. it's the only place i know that doesn't crumble up a bunch of peanut-y stuff and mix it in with their ice cream. they only have one ice cream item and it's peanut free. yeah! joey

Salads are prepared off premises and shipped in by truck.

Hi Fromthesouth:
My son(who has PA) has been eating Frostys for at least 3 years and we have never had an adverse reaction.
Hope this helps,

My son eats them all the time with no problems. The salad nuts are pre-packaged.

Thank you for responding. I was aware of the new salads with prepackaged nuts. We found out the hard way. A relative was visiting and ordered the Oriental salad at the drive-thru while in my car. When they handed my dh the bag of almonds, you would have thought they handed him a snake! Everyone in our car gasped with horror! He practically threw them back in the drive-thru window! LOL
She will be delighted to find out she can have this dessert.

Hi, my son eats Frosty's from Wendy's also, no problemo. We are from Canada, and McDonald's ice cream is safe for him as well. The McFlurry machine is separate from the ice cream.(they pour the ice cream, then add the flurry stuff, then grind it by the Flurry stuff)Also, they pre-package the nuts. There is a chance of a nut being in the restaurant however, we use wipes to clean the surfaces before we eat, and as always we tell the staff that he has a PA.
