I have tried and tried to find a site that could tell me other foods to avoid with a peanut allergy?
My reasoning is...
I have a friend who just RAVES about dry roasted SOY beans! I would LOVE to try them but I dont know how I will react?
I can have food fried in soybean oil but I am scared to try them because they LOOK like peanuts..... she says they are high in estrogen...(which made me wonder because of prevaian) and they are high in fiber. and filling for an on the go snack?

If anyone could help me I would appreciate it...
Thanks!

Hi Peanutfree - These soybean snacks are often advertised as being "ideal for those with peanut allergy", so just check the label and make sure there are no cross-contamination warnings on the label. Another product that is safe for people with PA is called Soy Wonder, which is a soybean spread, similar in texture to PB. The concern with this product was that there is another product called Peanut Wonder, both produced by the same company. After calls to the manufacturer, one of the members of this PA site discovered that the products are made in completely different plants, thus eliminating the risk of cross-contamination. I'm sure you will be fine with these soybean snacks, as long as you don't have a soy allergy, obviously! The manufacturers of these products seem to have a good understanding of the seriousness of food allergy. Just be sure to always check labels. Take care.
