I emailed a response to cnn.com on their feedback page about their misguided PA article about activated charcoal last week. I have received no response or acknowledgement.
I also emailed FAAN about their countering press release to CNN's information. It does not seem like they have enough stature with the media to counter this story, though they did respond to my email.
Has anyone recieved a response to their comments from CNN? Even an auto response?

I also emailed CNN, and I too did not receive a response- canned or otherwise.

CNN has a nasty history of revisionism and silence in the face of criticism. Over the last year, I've lost total respect for them as a reporting institution. (Journalistic integrity, anyone? ...No?)
Perhaps the most notorious example was the Hans Blix report to the UN on the results of weapons inspections in Iraq. CNN printed a "complete transcript" that just happened to be missing about 1000 words in the middle. These happened to be the 1000 or so words that refuted many of the points in Colin Powell's little PPT presentation. After a few days, they put the text back in, but never apologized, and never said anything about it, and of course once a news article is 48 hours old nobody's reading it anymore.
Grr. So my point is, although I also wrote a nasty letter to CNN, check the URL and see if they changed the article, but don't expect any sort of response.
I also emailed them and have not heard a word. Not even an automated,"we have received your email" . I wonder if anyone sent them a copy of FAAN's statement issued about the charcoal.
No response whatsoever. Nothing. Nada. Zip.
