hello, every one! the school summer holidays end soon,my boys are back to school nxt tuesday. So had a brief talk to williams new teacher end of last term, plan to go over what we discussed as she might need a LITTLE reminding after 51/2 weeks of freedom from school!!
hmmm lunch time, william has packed lunch in the hall with the other kids, so far this is fine , first worry. will he eat this term at school? (refused for the last few weeks of school)
will he try again to give away his food? or hide it under the table and lie to his teacher and tell her that hes eaten it all?
Will the school still be so short of dinnerladys that they will use year 5and 6 (children age 9-11)to mointer the younger classes in the hall?
oh and morning break time ...if william is in a much happier frame of mind this term , how can i gently remind him about not shareing food with out making him more anxious? I want him to carry on eating as he has done at home during the holidays, you know three meals a day plus snacks!!!(wow!!!)
have jotted down a few reminders for his teacher...which seems to be rather long!!
I am trying to be a more relaxed mummy , honest!!!!
........but failing miserably....
I hate sewing on name labels on school uniform....hate having to point out william and making sure they are taking good care of him......hate it when they ring me up to say that william may or may not have eaten something "dodgy" by accident(yes this has happened, they expected a 5 year old to sit with nothing and watch the others eat from a shared bowl of chocolate, and yes before you ask i had provided safe snacks but this was for a cookery lesson,(!) so they didnt bother.).....soooo....back to school......what a pain in the backside,oh and home work for a 5yr old ...i ask you cant children be children in this day and age!!?
