Hi Rhonda,Nutternomore
Hi Drews mom,
I agree with Rhonda stop the phone calls start a paper trail or as stated earler E-mail.
I had a problem with phone calls to the point that some one was listing in on my call to the 504 lady I stoped and started letters.letters of understanding re conversation.A letter of understanding with help you keep track of each conversation and who said what, that way in the letter you send out by mail or e-mail you can say "If I have misunderstood, please let me know.
End it with "looking forward to working with you" and your contact info.Be careful on the letter make sure you set a positive tone, and Boy do I know that is hard.Stories like this make my blood boil!
Hang in there you can do this!
Love this site

I just wanted to clarify that the SI hasn't told me that yet. It was stated over the phone last winter by the Assistant SI that the SD's attorney may feel that "this child may be best educated at home." So I'm hesitant to start a thread under that name quite yet. I will start a new thread concerning our ordeal. (I will try to copy posts to the new thread, but I'm not the best with computers.)
I need to double check with DH, but I'm pretty sure we have already provided the OCR Hidden Disability document to the school district. However, a second copy wouldn't hurt.
Thirteen persons listed as invited to convene on Monday. Some titles I haven't even heard of yet. It's a meeting regarding "individual" needs, but, will try not to forget the "spirit of the law"/"duty of care" in an attempt to leave the door open for any who need enter. Moral/Ethical type of Big Picture.
I mean, in some ways, do we speak for each other, whether it is our intention or not? Not rhetorical, but absolutely wondering............
Just updating:
Other Health Impairment designation.
Peanut Allergy and Asthma.

Hi MB,
Congratulations! You worked very hard for that designation. Keep us posted.
Take care,

Rhonda, and those who shared information and insight in this thread and others......thank you. Although I know it's a journey, a burden has been lifted.
ps...........just wondering, how many persons have taken the time to read the Zirkel Letter, the BSEA "Mystic Valley", or the "Tatro" ruling?
Did you find those cases and rulings you mentioned above helpful in obtaining the OHI designation for food allergy and asthma?

Honestly..... And in my own personal, highly individual, and unique situation.... And not as advice in any manner or form:
*I don't know*. But I did request a copy of each to be placed in my son's file. (as well as other items) I also requested a stamped receipt of each.
