I have a Canadian here who is willing to send Smarties, but no more Americans wanting them or what? C'mon! Best wishes!

I "should" be bringing this thread up on a daily basis too, as I still have a Canadian willing to send Smarties to an American! They make great stocking stuffer candies or great candies to have out at Christmas! How else can I sell the idea? Anyway, I have one Canadian who needs matched to an American so until I get that done, I'll try to bring this thread up daily. Best wishes! Okay TWO Canadians wanting to send Smarties.
I cannot promote this product any further than I've done already - great for stocking stuffers, etc. Any Americans out there want them or are you still trying to figure out what's going on with the Presidency? Best wishes!

Cindy-
Well to put it mildly I am caught up in trying to figure out our presidency. However from the perspective of my six year old she really would prefer to hear about some smarties coming her way!
She would love to have some sent our way!
Thanks!

Rilira, consider yourself officially paired with Coach. I will e-mail you both to let you know! If it makes you feel any better about your election, we'll have a similar thing going on "up here" in a couple of weeks! And, thank-you for posting, someone else actually brought the thread up for the day instead of me! Best wishes! SharonA, thank-you. Now, I simply need an American who wants them again! I should be receiving Smarties myself from Nestle for co-ordinating this and then I'd be able to send some down to The States too! Best wishes!

And I bought a bit more for our own trip to Florida, now that I know I wont find any over there..

Darthcleo, kudos! That's a lot of Smarties.
Whoever you got paired with (Nikky?) is really lucky!
Now, I still have a Canadian willing to send some Smarties to an American. Any Americans needing stocking stuffers for their kids?
And, frankly, I think I should be getting a commission from Nestle for this! Only kidding. Best wishes!

Hey, you guys, you have to be "officially paired" by me! Okay, so it looks as though Sharon Y and Kathyc are "officially paired" and have worked it out already for themselves.
Actually, obviously, if you see you're the only Canadian posting and there's only one American posting, then I feel totally fine
with people co-ordinating without me, it's just that if we get more people in, I'd like to be able to do it if that is still okay.

SharonA, no need to apologize at all! As I said, if everyone can see one Canadian and one American, of course, co-ordinate it yourselves! I don't want to be accused of trying to control this thread or the board.
You did absolutely nothing wrong, I was in a joking mood last night (these don't come upon me very often) when I posted. No need to apologize, please! Best wishes!

I live in Oklahoma and would love to receive Smarties!!! I have 2 yr. old son PA and egg allergic. Kit Kat recently has tacted on "May contain traces of peanuts." Kit Kat is out of my house. Does Smarties contain egg?
I have had hard time finding candy for him that he likes.

Jawar, I'm not clear if Smarties have egg in them. Perhaps someone looking at this thread that has some at home (obviously a Canadian) could check the label. I don't have any right now to check and everyone knows what a disastrous time I have when I go out shopping!
So, now, I have one American needing Smarties. I now need a Canadian, please.
But, if someone can, can you please check the label? Many thanks and best wishes!
Also, Jawar, KitKat in Canada is "safe" because it's made by the same people as Smarties (Nestle) and I know that a lot of people have mentioned wanting KitKat's too, but I'm too worn out to try starting that thread! It's a really good thought, if someone wants to co-ordinate it. Otherwise, when I'm feeling more up and less pressured, I'll start the thread (oh Queen of the Thread Starters! ). It's just that right now, I can't, and I did recognize very early on in this thread that that was potentially a good thread starter/idea. Someone else? Anyone else? Please????? Best wishes! Many thanks.
Also, many thanks to DebO! If Jawar doesn't reply SOON, I will attempt to match you with the second American in need of Smarties.

jawar, you are "officially paired" with DebO, but I'm having problems finding her or having her return my e-mails. Then, I have one other American wanting Smarties too. If I could get two Canadians that are willing to send Smarties that would be great. It would mean unoffically pairing jawar and DebO, but since I can't seem to reach DebO, I'm not clear if jawar will be getting Smarties or not.
DebO, if you see this, could you please contact me.
Otherwise, I would consider that I need two Canadians to send two Americans Smarties.
I think some people were hoping to get some before Christmas and if anyone is out Christmas shopping still, maybe it's possible?
Many thanks and best wishes!

darthcleo, cool post! Actually, since you have been "officially paired" with someone already, I feel comfortable with you only sending Smarties to that one American family.
Otherwise, Canadians who were sending to multiple families could begin to feel a little resentful or worn out or cash strapped or SOMETHING! I think the one-on-one match is good because it pairs people up for what may be either a one-off or a continuing supply of Smarties and who knows what other type of relationship (i.e., children as penpals) may develop from that.
I'm still trying to find DebO to match with jawar. If I find her, I still need one Canadian to send Smarties to one American family. Many thanks and best wishes!

I have three Americans that would like Smarties now! Although I consider jawar and DebO, officially paired, I have not been able to reach DebO. I understand from her post in this thread that she doesn't check the board that often, but I have tried on several occasions to send personal e-mails.
So, I'm not clear if I really need two or three Canadians to send Smarties to our American friends.

Darthcleo, I would never expect you to try to send Smarties to anyone else! Whoever you got paired with is one lucky soul!
Now, in saying that, I still need four Canadians to match with four Americans who would like Smarties. Once the holiday rush has died down and we begin to get back to "normal", perhaps we could start up again?
Like the beginning of next week, or even this if everyone is back to work and stuff?
Happy New Year and best wishes!

jawar, I know that I did NOT hear back from DebO, so I'm not clear if you're paired or not. I would think NOT after this length of time.
Now, I'm not clear if I added you back to the list of Americans who want Smarties. I'll have to go back in and re-read the thread.
DebO, if you do see this, please contact me, as you did post that you were able to send some Smarties and I did match you up with jawar.
I'm going to change the number to 5 Americans wanting Smarties right now and 5 Canadians needed to send them, but I'm also going back through the thread to see if I hadn't already added jawar to the list again anyway.
This thing about this is too - I've been having a lot of off-the-board discussion re Canadian Smarties and there should be a lot more people in here asking for them and if they do, my soul, I'm going to have a heckuva time. I was hoping that things had settled down enough that we could get back to Smarties business!
5 right now unless I re-read differently!
Best wishes!

No, jawar, I had already re-added you to the list, so I need FOUR Canadians to send Smarties to FOUR Americans.
To re-cap, I need Smarties for:-
jawar
dalesmom
Jodi
J. Roberts
Now, as I say, I have really been discussing this a lot off-the-board and expect this thread to explode with people wanting them.
Please, any Canadians out there? From what I understand, it doesn't even have to be a BIG exchange, some people have only received what I would consider a "sampling" of Smarties.
And, you determine whether it's an ongoing thing or a one-off.
Please?
Best wishes!

I still can't bevieve that the Americans call their "Rockets", "smarties". What I find even more amazing then that is that both (our rockets and their smarties) are manufactured in North York Ontario.
Anyway, count me in.

Guin, thank-you, thank-you! Now, I had "officially paired" jawar with DebO. However, I was unable to get in touch with DebO at all to finalize the arrangements re this. So, after a bit of waiting, I put jawar back on the "waiting list" for Smarties.
Now, since jawar has been waiting the longest, I will "officially pair" you with jawar. I will e-mail you both off-the-board to let you know that you have been paired.
Then, if DebO does come back into the thread, I can pair her with the next American in line.
Yes, that is very interesting about the American Smarties and I only learned by visiting their website at www.smarties.com which I thought was a Canadian Smarties website. Now, at least I know what American Smarties are and that yes, they are made in Canada. Wild!
Thank-you very much and best wishes!

Actually, could you let me know somehow, either by e-mailing me or posting in here that you have read that you have been paired so that I know jawar will be getting some Smarties sometime because I don't want this person disappointed twice.
