Sounds like a simply question.
I recently spoke with a friend, whose niece (toddler) is allergic to milk and peanut, out of my surprise, her parents do not always carry the epi pen with them.
I also wonder how many tragedies out there are due to the fact that epi pens were not available at the moment.

It is because I think of that possibility of what *could* happen if I on that one occassion did not bring an epi pen with me, that makes darn sure I ALWAYS have it with me. We have some in the house then I carry two twin-jects clipped onto the outer pocket of my purse for easy access if needed.
I know there have been times where the family is shopping in the mall or something and my DH will take the kids and I forget to give him the epi pens and I just feel like such a bad mommy when I forget. Even if they are only 100 yds away I still feel horrible. I could never leave home without them though and normally if I'm setting my purse down and running around with the kids, I put at least one epi in my pocket. Can't imagine the guilt I would feel if something happened to my kid and I didn't have the epi around that could have prevented it.

We never, ever leave home without it! There have been a few times that we've gotten some place and start to get unpacked only to realize that we've forgotten the epis. I immediately pile everyone back in to go back home to get the bag.
I would never be able to forgive myself if something were to happen when we were out and didn't have the epi!

I try my very best to make sure DS always has at least one. I carry two in my purse and we have 2 at school and we have 2 at home. I did recently leave him @ my mothers and forgot to leave the epi's the instant I realized this I was racing for the car to get back there.

I always carry one. There is one in my purse, one in the diaper bag, one in the car, two at home and one at her school. When my husband takes her somewhere, he carries one with him at all times. I too am always thinking "what if" and never leave home without one.

One in the car? I hear people say that and I want to tell all of you who do that that epis are temp sensitive and leaving them in the car will make them ineffective. They should not ever be left in the car. I'm glad you have them in many places. I'd have 2 at school at least. really--a food allergic person should have 2 with them at any time because one might fail and because they might need more than 1 to get to the hospital. A good % of ana cases require more than one.

My allergist recommended that I carry 2 with me and have 2 at school. I carry 2 in my purse/diaper bag and have 2 at preschool and 1 at grandma's. Thanks to a second Rx I also have 2 in my cupboard at home. I now have 2 ds's with allergies so if dh takes one somewhere I still have 2 at home with me for other ds.
