My allergist just told me that some people experience eczema only food reactions that don't progress with any further reactions. Anyone have experience with this?

This is confusing to me as I know a girl who had eczema for a while before developing Ana reactions...

Thanks,

Niche, Before I had any knowledge of food allergies, excema was the first appearance of my dd's pa. At that time, nine years ago, my dd's dr. gave her a cream for the excema and that was it. The excema remained until she was diagnosed and once she was no longer receiving peanuts from nursing her excema cleared up for good. This was in her case, not sure for yours but just a thought.

Sorry, I forgot to add that my dd went on to have an ana. reaction. This is what led to the allergy testing.

Hi that is what I was thinking, That it could progress to an ANA reaction - and my allergist wants me to try dairy again - I am afraid to.
Don't know what to do at this point.

I think the confusing thing with eczema is that it might be just that. I've known more people that have eczema with no known food allergies than people who have both. My daughter's skin (she's MFA) is perfect. I guess the only thing you can do is get them tested and try not to let it make you crazy. (That's the hardest part for me!)
My son has eczema that doesn't seem to be related to food - it does seem to be weather related though! But of course I worry.

Yeah, I am concerned as DD has not had one day of eczema until the day I trial her on Diary - she hasn't had dairy since I was in my second trimester. So that it would be a fluke on that same day seems low to me...
