This is so exciting for Alabama. The Governor has proclaimed FAAW as May 11-17th. We just got the letter this morning. We are hoping for great things to come at Food Allergy Faith. Any suggestions for the week would be greatly appreciated!!!

Abigailsmoma, I'm so excited for you and all the others. This should bring the much needed attention to food allergies in your state that you have been actively pursuing.

That's great! What actions did you take to get the Governor to sign this? I would love to get my state's Governor to do something similar, but don't know where to begin! Thanks and congrats!!!

That is great, very helpful website too.
By the way, anyone from Brimingham? We will be traveling there in teh summer and would like to hunt down a few restaurants. I will also post it under the restaurant when it gets closer to summer.

That is awesome!! How did you get it done? I would be very interested in how you did it. I live in TN and since you are so close, maybe my governor would listen to yours.
The first idea that came to mind when I saw your post, was to do some kind of walk. Maybe with a banner out front. Get kids and their parents and grandparents. This would not cost anything except for the banner and you could get everyone to wear the same color t shirt.
This is so great! I am so happy for you! By the way, I love your website. Good luck!!

Yes I would love to do a walk also! Anything that would help raise awareness. What part of TN are you in?
Contacting your Gov. and getting this done is a lot easier then you would think. I mailed them a letter, faxed the same letter, emailed a letter and then followed up with a email. I made sure they were able to see it one way or the other. They were very helpful. Just let me know if you need a copy of the letter and I will be glad to email it to you both.
Thank you all for all the great things you have said about the website.

Hey! I am sorry I have been busy lately and it took me a while to find your post again. First, CONGRATULATIONS on the baby! That is wonderful news. I would love a copy of the letter. Could you email it to me. I live in Shelbyville, south east of Nashville. What other things have you decided to do for the week.
