Just coming home from a road trip and stopped for lunch at a roadside BBQ place that was also a convenience store type place. As soon as we walked in the door my daughter started complaining that her throat felt weird and she started scratching all around her neck. She had just eaten an apple that was in our cooler and thought it was from that. As the minutes past it continued to get worse. I took her to the restroom to wash her hands and face and as walked through the store, I noticed several crock pots with a sign "boiled peanuts" which I guess is common in the South. I immediately removed her from the restaurant and gave her allergy medicine. As soon as I did she started improving. Sharing this so others understand that airborne reactions can happen in this type of situation.
