Thanks for your reply jeramy- from your original post, there was no mention of your daughter being 17, nor did it mention that she is allergic to gluten, meat, dairy, eggs and soy. Like I said, I have a 5 yo with PN/TN allergies, so I am fearful every minute he is away from me (in his school there is a peanut/nut free table), and a "peanut/nut free classroom". So, to answer your question with more information you provided, if your daughter will eat her nut butter sandwich away from my child, washes hands/mouth, then YES, I find this to be acceptable and safe.

I hear you, this is tough. However, i understand you very well for i am on an exclusion diet. Personally love Namaste pizza crust with pasta sauce and lettuce baked, enjoy life bars, rice pasta tossed with boiled veggies and safflower oil, fish, buckwheat (very high on protein). Hope that helps.

Yes, I am very good at finding and having us eat alternatives. I am also a GF lifestyle coach. I help folks shop, w/ recipes, resources, medical info, etc. BUT even with all my knowledge about better food, I can't provide these foods as easily for school lunches every day. I can only do so much.(And she doesn't eat fish and can't have buckwheat - it's a cross reactive protein with the gluten intolerance.)
But I appreciate your suggestions. It's better to have support than not.

This maybe of some use to you look into a paleo diet. I found out at 33 I was allergic to peanuts been less than a year of knowing. The paleo diet was helpful for me no peanuts or beans all legumes as I'm sure you would know. No problems with stomach pains or headache finally! Hope it helps.
