my dtr is pa. i avoid peanuts at all costs. well the other day i had a couple of macadamis nuts (dtrs not allergic to tree nuts)so i thought i'd pop a couple in my mouth. love them. about a 1/2 later my mouth was itching the roof part and i felt like i had a sore throat. ok i dealt with it. then yesterday i had a couple of almonds at work..i was fine but later in the evening i had awful pains on my stomach to the point that at 3 am i woke up doubled over from the pain threw up and felt better. but had the pains off and on for most of the morning..could these be reactions?? since all my dtr had even gotten was hives pretty big ones..she never had any of the symtoms i had so i was just wondering if it indeed is a reaction?? any help would be greatly appreciated..

Any more problems? Have you been eating any nuts?
When I suddenly started having reactions, it was to peanuts, sesame seeds, cats, and dogs. And the reaction to each of those things was slightly different.
All four hit me at around the same time - which was kind of freaky, and really hard to figure out what the cause was. Cats and dogs no longer bother me - I guess they were never real allergies.
Anyway, how your daughter reacts would not necessarily be how you would react. Of course, there is always the chance that this was just something completely different.

That's why I didn't answer this post before. I'm not making any sense, am I?

annamarie yes you made sense, i havent had anymore nuts since then and have been fine. maybe it was the way my body reacted i dont know. i have never come across feeling like that before so i though it was kind of weird. and the only thing i ate that day was the nuts that was different so i chalked it up to that..i have a physical coming up soon so i may ask my doc then about it and maybe get tested so i have at least a general idea as to what went on. it cant hurt right? thanks for your help.
