I was talking to my dd after picking her up from her school (the new one this year). I asked her if she's made any, or many new friends. She named a few but then said, "hopefully Julie will play with me again"
I asked if she used to play with Julie and she said "yes, but I think Julie's mad at me 'cause I wouldn't have any of her soup".

Well, I went into my LECTURE MODE. Re-telling her all the reasons she must never share foods etc. I spent about 4 minutes NON-STOP explaining the dangers and all the bad things that could happen.......You all know the stuff.

Finally after I shut up, she says, "but mom, it was only pretend soup using mud puddle water and leaves and grass.

Kind of good to know she doesn't want to eat mud either though.

Thanks for sharing that - it is very cute. Reminds my of "Cookbook for Dolls" - one of my favorite books when I was little.
