Well, my son's school has decided to have their 5th grade class do science projects and have a science fair at the end of May (like we needed this with the year winding down!). He is able to pick any topic he wants. I am trying to encourage him to do something in relationship to his peanut allergy. So far I am thinking of having him do some type of survey in his class to see how much kids know about peanut allergies and do some sort of display with the data he collects. I got this idea off from another web site. Any other ideas or suggestions on things your kids have done for science projects?

What about an anatomy/science project on the bodies reaction to allergies? May be interesting for kids to learn about mast cells, histamines etc. You could also then show what are the most common enviromental allergies, pet and food allergies.
